Compressor Crews & Torching

Pneumatic chipping and hand-breaking for confined spaces, plus torch cutting for rebar, anchor bolts, and embedded steel — both available as a single mobilization.

What We Do

DSI provides air compressor crews for pneumatic chipping, hand-breaking, and selective demolition in areas where machine access is limited or the scope requires precision hand work. Used for interior concrete breaking, trench cutting in tight spaces, tile and flooring removal, and any work where a full excavator cannot safely operate.

Torching covers cutting and burning of embedded rebar, anchor bolts, steel columns, beams, pipe, and metal structures that need to come out as part of a demolition scope. DSI runs compressor crews and torching under one mobilization when scopes require both — no separate sub needed.

Common Questions
Do you bring the compressor or do we supply one?
DSI brings the compressor unit. The crew and all equipment are DSI — you don't need to source or stage anything separately.
What types of metal can you torch cut?
Rebar, anchor bolts, steel columns, beams, plate, angle iron, pipe, and embedded steel in concrete. If it's ferrous and needs to come out, torching is usually the right tool.
Can you run compressor and torching on the same job?
Yes. DSI combines compressor crews and torching under one mobilization when the scope calls for both — no separate sub needed. Confirm requirements when you request the estimate.
Is a compressor crew the right call for interior work?
Yes. Pneumatic crews work inside occupied or partially occupied buildings where machine access is restricted. Interior concrete breaking, tile removal, trench work — all standard compressor scope.
